What do you do with your kids’ birthday cards? Have them gathering dust in a cupboard, or guiltily throw them out? I’m sure it’s not just me who sighs at forcing my uninterested son to open tonnes of cards, all the while knowing they will end up in the bin.
I’ve started doing a simple thing to try and fight against it. A card costs $5-10, and a book about the same. Instead of a card, I get a book, let my son draw a picture on the title page, and write on it instead. An easy way to provide a useful gift instead.
Do you have any more hints and tips like this? I would love to hear about them on our Facebook page!
